Open Fires and Barbecues - Fire ban regulations
The use of open fires and barbecues is subject to fire ban regulations.
Fire restrictions apply throughout the fire season.
The official fire danger season is 1 December 2012 to 30 April 2013 for the Adelaide Metropolitan Area.

Burning of refuse
Backyard burning of refuse is prohibited in all metropolitan council areas.
Complaints
Council responds immediately to complaints regarding this matter, as burning is a potential safety and health hazard.
A council Community Safety Inspector will attend immediately up until 9.00pm Monday to Friday and until 4.30pm Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
The inspector will speak to the resident and if appropriate, an expiation notice (fine) will be issued.
