Bin Collection and Calendar

City of Marion's kerbside waste and recycling collection system consists of three bins.

Red Bin	140 litre	Garbage	Collected weekly
Yellow Bin	240 litre	Recycling	Collected fortnightly
Green Bin	240 litre	Green organics	Collected fortnightly on the alternate week to your recycling bin

The City of Marion Domestic Waste Collection Calendar outlines what can go in each bin and contains important information about bin collections, helpful hints on how to recycle right and options for dealing with tricky waste that must not be placed in any bin.

Use the 2013 Waste Collection Calendar to find your waste collection day. Simply locate your suburb in the boxes on the left and this will give you the collection day for your area. The colour bands on the calendar then tell you whether it is your recycling or organics collection week.

The Waste Collection Calendar also provides information that outlines useful details such as bin management, what can go in which bin, and how to deal with tricky waste that cannot go in any bin, such as electronic materials, large items and paints.

If you have not received your calendar, call City of Marion on 8375 6600 and we will organise a replacement.

2013 Christmas Collection

Please note: As Christmas Day falls on a week day this year, all bin collections from Christmas Day and for the rest of that week will occur the day after their normal collection day.

My bin is missing or stolen

If the owner/tenant of a property discovers that a bin has been stolen or is missing, then a Missing waste bin report Missing%20waste%20bin%20report (34 kb) needs to be filled in and sent to council.
