The Mitchell Park Neighbourhood Centre is a the perfect place to have fun, meet people and learn something new.

There is a wide range of activities to enjoy including:

  • Parents and kids groups
  • Educational programs

You are guaranteed a warm and welcoming environment with great staff, volunteers and good company.

As a Neighbourhood Centre, we try to provide a range of activities and services to cater for local community needs. If there is an activity or program you are interested in and it is not provided, have a chat with the staff at the centre and every effort will be done to fulfil these needs.

Mitchell Park Neighbourhood Centre is always seeking volunteers to help with the literacy program, computer sessions and assisting in group activities.

Computers

The centre has computers available for public access at no cost. Windows XP & Internet access available.

Funding

Sources of funds are varied. The City of Marion employs the Coordinator and Neighbourhood Centre Officer and assists with property costs.

The remainder of our funding is gained through grants, fundraising, and through fees charged for various activities.

Current grants that the centre has received are from:

  • Department for Family & Community Services
  • Dept of Further Education, Employment, Science & Technology
  • Baptist Care (SA) Inc
  • Home & Community Care (HACC)
