Square Eyes Multimedia
Square Eyes is a program working in various aspects of film, photography and multimedia which encourages and invites anyone with a love for visual imagery, a curiosity to create or learn, or something to express!
It is not only for artists, filmmakers, photographers...but also for community groups, schools, service groups, and individuals, young or not so young.

Art of Respect Aerosol Art Program
Are you an aspiring aerosol artist? Or do you know one? Sometimes when you want to spray it loud, it can be hard to find a legal outlet for your skills.
The Art of Respect program can help....
Art of Respect provides aerosol art workshops run by professional artists, culminating in an opportunity to show off your work either in a gallery setting or as a public mural.

Council's Chambers Gallery
The Council Chambers in the Administration building at 245 Sturt Road is available as a community-access exhibition space.
The Chambers Gallery is open to the public from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, except when the Chambers are in use for Council or staff meetings.
Council permits the use of its Council Chambers for selected art exhibitions on a shared-use basis, i.e. the Chambers will be closed to visitors when in use for normal Council and community activities during the period of any exhibition.

Gallery M
Gallery M is a high quality visual arts venue located in the Marion Cultural Centre, about thirty minutes from the Adelaide CBD and open 7 days.
The Gallery is available for visual arts exhibitions of groups, individual artists or community projects, and provides a versatile exhibition area with approximately 66 linear metres of hanging space if all freestanding moveable partitions are utilised.
A Gallery Shop selling a wide range of hand crafted items by local artists is adjacent to the gallery.

Community Grants
Through its Community Vision and Community Plan, the City of Marion has expressed a strong commitment to the provision of support to its community.
The purpose of the Community Grants Program is to assist local non-profit community groups and organisations to establish and undertake innovative projects or activities that are of benefit to the community.
Grants are available in the categories of Arts and Culture, Environment, Community Development and Sport and Recreation.

Arts and Cultural Events and Festivals
The City of Marion hosts a number of Arts and Cultural Events including the Marion Celebrates Festival, Harmony Day, Reconciliation Week, Marion Learning Festival, and various other arts and cultural development projects which have scope for artists of all disciplines to become involved.
City of Marion also has involvement in most of SA's major festivals including SALA Festival, Feast Festival, and Fringe Festival, with various opportunities for artists to participate.

Council Support for SALA Festival Artists
The City of Marion is committed to supporting local artists, artistic expression and experiences within the the Marion area.
The City of Marion contributed $90 per artist toward 2011 SALA registration fees for exhibitions and open studios within the city, and looks set to be able to continue to support local artists or artists exhibiting within the council area in 2012.

Artist Register
The aim of the Artist Register is to showcase local artists or artists connected to the City of Marion by presenting short biographies and snippets of their work for the wider community to view and enjoy.

Portable Stage
The City of Marion owns a portable stage and seating facility available for hire.
It seats up to 200 people and can be broken down as a stage, podium, catwalk or bandstand.
